Sri Lanka\\\'s economy grows 7.3pc last year

COLOMBO, Mar 17 (Reuters): Sri Lanka's economy grew at 7.3 per cent in 2013, picking up from 6.3 per cent in the previous year, data released by the government's Census and Statistics Department showed on Monday.
The economy expanded 8.2 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2013 over the same period a year ago, up from 7.8 per cent in the third quarter, the data showed.
The Statistics office lowered the 2012 full-year growth to 6.3 per cent, its weakest since 2009, from a previously reported 6.4 per cent.
