Stalker jailed in Naogaon

NAOGAON, Nov 29 (UNB): A mobile court Sunday night convicted a young man for sexually harassing a school girl and sentenced him to six months imprisonment in Mukti crossing area of the district town.
The court also fined the convict Ariful Islam Nayan, son of Muzaffar Rahman of Chandipur village in Sadar Upazila Tk 5000, in default, to suffer two months imprisonment more.
Police said Nayan was arrested red-handed in the afternoon while he was teasing Sraboni, a class VII student of a local school, while she was returning home from the coaching centre in the area.
Later, police produced him before the mobile court.
After examining witnesses and the victim, Executive Magistrate M Hedayet Uddin instantly handed down punishment to the stalker.
