Stalker sentenced in Khulna

KHULNA, Nov 20: A Mobile Court led by magistrate Mashruba Ferdous sentenced a motor cycle mechanic to suffer one month imprisonment for stalking a school girl at Chupria under Satkhira Sadar upazila Friday.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Satkhira Sadar Ratan Shaikh said Iqbal Hossain (22), son of Abdul Gafur of village Chupria under sadar upazila intercepted Nipa Khatun (14) a student of class nine of Chupria High School of Sadar upazila, on her way.
Hearing screams of the girl, the villagers rushed in and caught the eve teaser. They immediately informed the local UNO, OC and others of the matter.
Later, a Mobile Court led by magistrate Mashruba Ferdous rushed to the spot and prosecuted him on the spot and sentenced him jail term.
