StanChart arranges Tk 1.3b for ACME Specialised Pharmaceutical

Standard Chartered Bank has arranged a syndicated term loan of Tk 1.3 billion (1,300 million) for ACME Specialised Pharmaceuticals Limited.
The facility is aimed to finance the setting up of another pharmaceutical factory by ACME group for taking the pharmaceutical industry of the country to a higher standard.
An agreement to this effect was signed among ACME Specialised Pharmaceuticals Limited, Standard Chartered Bank, the mandated lead arranger of the facility, and the participating financial institutions at a city hotel Tuesday.
The other members of the syndication are AB Bank, Bank Asia, Bank Al Falah, BRAC Bank, Citibank NA, Commercial Bank of Ceylon, Dhaka Bank, Dutch-Bangla Bank, Eastern Bank, IFIC Bank, Mercantile Bank, National Bank, One Bank, Southeast Bank, Saudi-Bangladesh Industrial and Agricultural Investment Company, Standard Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. Standard Chartered Bank is also assuming the role of Agent to the Facility.
ACME Specialised Pharmaceuticals Managing Director Mizanur Rahman Sinha and Deputy Managing Director Jabil R Sinha highlighted ACME group's success story in Bangladesh and also spoke about their commitment to the country in presence of the member of the syndication in the signing ceremony.
