For the second consecutive year, Standard Chartered Bank has been named the "Best Foreign Commercial Bank in Bangladesh 2010" by FianaceAsia, a leading financial publication in the region. The bank received this prestigious award as part of FinanceAsia 2010 Country Awards for Achievement. This is also the second time in a row that the bank received the same award for India. A full write-up of the reasoning behind the individual awards -- which refer to the period from June 1, 2009 to May 17, 2010 -- will be published in the July issue of FinanceAsia magazine. The winners will be celebrated at an awards dinner in Hong Kong on September 1, 2010.
