Standard Chartered Bank celebrated Monday the 1st anniversary of Saadiq - the Islamic Financial Services of the Bank, says a press release.
Regional Head of Consumer Banking Sandeep Bose inaugurated the programme while the bank's customers, distinguished pressmen, representatives from central bank and other regulatory bodies, and senior officials of the bank were present on the occasion.
A brand awareness campaign was also launched in the name of Saadiq across the country in 40 days, where the bank will set up mobile information kiosks at important public places of Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Narayanganj and Bogra to familiarise the people with different aspects of Saadiq.
