Lord Adair Turner, non-executive director of Standard Chartered (StanChart) plc, arrived in Dhaka Wednesday on a three-day official visit to Bangladesh, according to a press release.
During his stay, he, along with the Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Salehuddin Ahmed, will jointly inaugurate the new country head office of the bank.
Lord Adair Turner joined the Board of Standard Chartered PLC as a non-executive director on August 1, 2006.
Previously, senior adviser and vice-chairman of Merrill Lynch Europe Ltd, Turner is director of United Business Media p1c, Siemens Holdings plc and Paternoster Holdings Ltd.
He is also a visiting professor at the London School of Economics and at City University.
Turner is a member of the board of Trustees of WWF-UK and Save the Children, the UK.
