David Gareth Thomas, Group Country Head of Human Resources for Asia of Standard Chartered Bank, arrives in Dhaka today (Tuesday) for a two-day official visit.
During the visit, he will meet senior officials of the bank and several stakeholders of the bank.
He will also be accompanied by Madhavi Lall, Regional Head of Human Resources, India and South Asia of Standard Chartered Bank.
Mr Thomas is a seasoned banker with over two decades of experience in the UK and the UAE having handled a wide spectrum of Human Resource roles in various senior positions within Standard Chartered Bank. As Group Country Head of Human Resources for Asia, he provides strategic leadership for overall HR responsibilities in Asia.
Prior to this, he had been in senior Human Resource positions for Royal Bank of Scotland in North America and IP Morgan Chase in the UK, according to a press release.
