Stand by the flood-hit people of Banshkhali

Tuesday, 14 July 2026

Banshkhali in Chattogram is currently facing a severe humanitarian crisis. Continuous heavy rainfall, hill torrents, and tidal surges have inundated several unions across the upazila. Thousands of families have lost their homes, crops have been destroyed, and livestock has been swept away. Many people are still living in shelters or on higher ground under extremely difficult conditions. Their most urgent needs today are safe food, clean drinking water, medicine, dry food, and, above all, a helping hand.
Various social organizations, volunteer groups, students, expatriates, and individuals have already stepped forward to distribute relief assistance. However, the reality is that the number of affected people is so overwhelming that many families have yet to receive any support. Countless people in remote villages, isolated communities, and hilly areas continue to wait desperately for assistance.
We earnestly appeal to affluent individuals, industrialists, business leaders, elected representatives, expatriates, charitable organizations, and all people of goodwill-your support can restore hope and bring relief to countless vulnerable families. In this time of disaster, let us fulfill our humanitarian responsibility by standing beside those in need.
Let us unite to support the flood-affected people of Banshkhali. Let us ensure that no family goes hungry, no child suffers from a lack of safe drinking water, and no elderly or sick person loses their life due to a shortage of medicine. Let this be our collective commitment.
Humanity exists to serve humanity. Please respond to this humanitarian call. Stand with the flood-affected

people of Banshkhali.
