Standard Bank launches mobile financial service

Standard Bank Ltd (SBL) has launched mobile financial service (MFS) named “Spot Cash” allowing the people to enjoy different services including instant transaction, deposit and mobile recharge. SBL chairman Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed formally announced the launching at a press conference held at a city hotel today (Wednesday). The bank also opened its 100th branch at Karwan Bazar on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of its inception. Customers of its Karwan Bazar branch will get loan at 0.5 per cent lower rate of interest than the bank’s normal interest rate, Mr Ahmed announced. Md. Nazmus Salehin, managing director of the bank, among others, was present at the press conference.
