Standard Bank opens 31st branch at Matuail

The 31st branch of Standard Bank Ltd was inaugurated at Matuail (Konapara) Momenbagh Circle, Demra in the city recently.
Chairman of the bank Kazi Akramuddin Ahmed inaugurated the branch as the chief guest while Vice Chairman Abdul Ahad was present as the special guest on the occasion. Managing Director SA Farooqui presided over the function.
Standard Bank executive committee (EC) Chairman Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury, audit committee Chairman Mohammad Shamsul Alam, Director Sahazada Syed Nizamuddin Ahmed and sponsors Muhammad Nurul Islam, Ferozur Rahman, Harun Rashid Chowdhury, Mohammed Abdul Aziz and Monowara Begum, DMD Md Nazmus Salehin, clients, prominent industrialists, business personalities and local elite of Matuail were present on the occasion.
Chairman Kazi Akramuddin, in his address, said Standard Bank has been able to achieve a steady growth maintaining high ethical standard of banking and extending modern and prompt banking services to its clients. In a short span of time, the bank now stands as a modern, progressive, and strong bank in the country, he added.
He said the newly opened Matuail branch of the bank is directly connected with the centralised online banking network system of the bank utilising world-class software 'Steler', as a result of which any client of the Matuail branch will be able to transact outside of his area with other branches of the bank located throughout the country.
