Standard Chartered Bank celebrates Pohela Boishakh

Friday, 24 April 2009

Standard Chartered Bank arranged daylong Boishakhi Utshab across all the branches in the country on the next day of the Bangla New Year to celebrate Pohela Boishakh 1416 and to share the festivities with its customers.
All branches and priority centres were decorated with the flavour of Pohela Boishakh, says a press release.
The customers were served with traditional finger-food (Naru, Kadma and Batasha) at the branches and with 'pithas' and drinks made of green mango. Every customer visiting the priority centers received an exclusive CD of 'Robindronather Desher Gaan' as a gift.
Local pipers played Bangla folk songs on their flutes; face painters drew colorful motifs on the faces of the customers at their request, henna designers created beautiful designs on the palms of female visitors on the occasion.
"It feels really good to see that being an international bank, Standard Chartered Bank has truly blended in with trend and colours of our local customs,” said a client.
