Standard Chartered-Channel i Agrow Award 2020 kicks off

Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh and Channel i jointly announced the launch of Standard Chartered - Channel i Agrow Award 2020, at a press conference held in Dhaka recently, says a statement.
Agrow Award will recognize the best performing individuals and institutions for their significant contributions to the agriculture sector of the country. This year, two new award categories have been introduced, with a total of 10 different categories being considered. The two new categories are Best Journalist (Agriculture) and Best Community as Disaster Fighter. Nominations will also be accepted in the following eight categories: Farmer of the Year - Male; Farmer of the Year - Female; Heroes for Change; Jury Special; Best Agricultural Organization in Research, Innovation and Technology; Best Agricultural Organization in Support & Execution; Best Agricultural Exporter and Lifetime Achievement Award.
Speaking at the press conference, Naser Ezaz Bijoy, Chief Executive Officer, Standard Chartered Bank said, "The tireless efforts of the heroes of our agriculture sector have helped our nation stand tall and secure, even in the face of a one-in-a-generation challenge.."
Faridur Reza Sagar, Managing Director, Channel i, said, "The Coronovirus situation serves as reminder about how vital the agriculture sector is to the world.”
Shykh Seraj, Director and Head of News, Channel I, said, "The contribution of our farmers towards the progress of our nation cannot be measured by prizes or awards. Still I believe the Standard Chartered-Channel i will help provide further impetus to the sustained success of our agriculture sector.."
