Startup summit starts today

The biggest-ever Bangladesh Startup Summit 2023 begins in Dhaka city today (Saturday) with an eye to expanding startup interactions among enterprises, venture capitalists, angel investors, regulators and experts.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is likely to open the two-day event, organised by Startup Bangladesh Ltd, a flagship venture-capital company of the government's Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Division, at InterContinental Hotel.
Agriculture minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, education minister Dr Dipu Moni and state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak are likely to be present there.

The summit comprises 34 sessions.
Intelligent Machines founder and CEO Md Oli Ahad, Startup Bangladesh managing director Sami Ahmed, Hishab Ltd co-founder and CEO Jubair Ahmed, Pathao CEO Fahim Ahmed, Data Bird co-founder Tanveer Ali, Chaldal founder and CEO Waseem Alim, 10-Minute School chief operating officer Mirza Salman Hossian Beg, among others, will address different sessions.
An estimated 600 startups and individuals are expected to join the event where more than 100 local and international experts are expected to deliver speeches.
Through seminars, workshops, panel discussions and other events, interested people will gain insights into macro trends and market realities that can help startups to leverage opportunities in global markets.
It is also expected that the people may get a chance to pitch startups to a panel of investors and get feedback on business model.
On the other hand, investors will get to meet with promising startups from Bangladesh, all in one place.
The startup summit is an opportunity to connect with like-minded people, learn from experienced industry leaders and be part of an exciting growth story.
It will get to explore the latest trends in the startup ecosystem and discover new ways to take a startup to the next level.
