State Minister for Finance vows to check corruption

Newly appointed State Minister for Finance Waseqa Ayesha Khan on Sunday vowed to work towards checking corruption in the country. "…I will work towards building a corruption-free economic system," she said.
She said she would play an important role in overall development of the country.
Ms Khan was talking to newsmen after assuming her office as a state minister at the Secretariat in the capital.
She also pledged to put in her maximum efforts to supplement the Prime Minister's bid to build a prosperous country and turn it into a smart one.
Replying to a question on her priority of work as a state minister, Ms Khan said she would set her priority in consultation with the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister.
