State minister for home summoned, told to nab culprits

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has summoned the State Minister for Home and ordered him to take immediate steps to arrest those involved in the abduction and murder in Narayanganj in the last few days. Police recovered the bodies of Narayanganj City Corporation's panel mayor Nazrul Islam, senior lawyer Chandan Sarker and five other people on Wednesday and Thursday, hardly a couple of days after their abduction. After the abduction and the killings, Hasina summoned state minister for home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at Ganabhaban, her official residence last night, hardly a couple of hours after six bodies were found floating in Shitalakhya River and Dhaleswari River in Narayanganj between the afternoon and evening of Wednesday. The body of another abducted person, the driver of Nazrul Islam, was recovered from Shitalakkha in Narayanganj on Thursday morning, according to a news agency.
