The government has decided to observe one-day state mourning today (Monday) in memory of the victims of the devastating Chawkbazar fire in the capital on Wednesday that claimed 67 lives, report BSS/UNB.
All government, semi-government, autonomous and private institutions and establishments and Bangladesh missions abroad will keep the national flag hoisted half-mast, said a press release on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Jatiya Sangsad (JS) unanimously adopted a condolence motion on Sunday expressing profound shock at the death of the 67 people in the recent devastating blaze at Churihatta in Old Dhaka.
