Stay at workplaces or lose jobs, PM reminds doctors

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday reminded again the dodgy doctors of losing their jobs even if they do not stay at their places of posting for a certain period as per their service conditions. “Condition is there, if the doctors do not stay (in place of posting) for a certain period, their jobs will not be made permanent, there won’t be any promotion for them… even there’ll be a threat of losing job,” she said. The Prime Minister made the observations while addressing the high officials of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in her first visit to the ministry after assuming office for the third time. Health Minister Mohammad Nasim and Health Secretary MN Niazuddin also spoke on the occasion, according to a news agency.
