Stay on Rizvi\\\'s HC bail sought

The Chamber Judge of the Appellate Division sent on Monday to the full bench of the division a petition filed by the state seeking a stay order on the bail granted by the High Court (HC) to BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in four cases, reports UNB.
Chamber Judge Justice Hasan Foez Siddique sent the petition to the full bench, headed by Chief Justice SK Sinha, fixing Thursday for hearing.
On July 01, the HC granted interim bail to BNP leader Rizvi in the four cases filed against him in connection with street violence.
The state appealed to the Appellate Division (AD) on Monday seeking stay of the bail.
