Steps for safe road urged

Setting up adequate driving training institutes and launching an intensified awareness campaign against road accident can help check road crashes, a leading campaigner said in the city Monday, reports BSS.
Ilias Kanchon, chairman of Nirapod Sarak Chai (NISCHA) movement, told the news agency that slack enforcement of relevant laws, lack of awareness among commuters and reckless driving by unskilled drivers are mainly responsible for the upward trend in road accidents in recent days.
