\\\'Steps soon to prevent child marriage\\\'

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Malik said Monday that steps would be taken to prevent child marriage, reports UNB.
He was talking to reporters after the inauguration of national fistula centre at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
He said Bangladesh is on track to reach Millennium Development Goal (MDG)-5 by reducing maternal mortality rate to 143 by 2015.
Mr Zahid said the national fistula centre will contribute to cutting down maternal mortality.
The government has taken many steps to ensure safe motherhood, he said.
