Steps to be taken if envoys violate rules
State minister says

Bangladesh is not confused over the map of undivided India displayed in its new parliament building, State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam said on Monday.
Talking to the reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), he said so far they have learnt that the map represents the era of ancient Indian emperor Ashoka, and it has nothing to do with politics.
"So, we are not confused," he added.
However, the state minister mentioned that the Bangladesh mission in New Delhi has been asked to get the official version of the issue from the Indian government.
The new Indian parliament building has been adorned with a mural of the map of undivided India. It has triggered controversy across the political circles of Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh, which were parts of undivided India before their independence.
Responding to a question on the recent visits of some envoys to BNP office to discuss about the upcoming election, he said if the foreign envoys in Bangladesh violate diplomatic norms and rules, necessary steps would be taken against them.
The state minister pointed out that the government had observed (their) similar activities six months ago, and then they were asked to maintain the diplomatic rules.
Replying to a question, Mr Alam said the MoFA has collected a copy of the letter written by several US congressmen to President Joe Biden, and most of the information stated in the letter is not correct.
He said (spreading) propaganda and misinformation against the government also took place earlier, and it might increase in the coming days - as the national election is approaching.
