Steps underway to stop untoward incidents in hospitals

State Minister for Health Zahid Malek on Wednesday said they would take necessary steps to stop the recurrence of untoward incidents in the country’s hospitals. “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has repeatedly given instructions to stop the recurrence of untoward incidents in hospitals to provide uninterrupted healthcare facilities to all in a convenient way,” he told reporters after a meeting at the health ministry. Representatives of doctors and journalists attended the meeting arranged in the wake of recent troubles at different hospitals, including Dhaka Medical College Hospital, which seriously hampered medical services, according to a news agency.
