FE Report
The stimulus package introduced earlier for the local exporters to tide over global financial meltdown will continue as the finance minister allocated a further Tk 20 billion for the export sectors for fiscal 2010-2011.
The core subsidy provided in the existing stimulus packages will continue in the next fiscal year until such time the export sector stabilizes in the context of gradual recovery of global economy, Finance Minister AMA Muhith said in his budget speech Thursday.
"I propose to allocate Tk. 2,000 crore for this purpose in the budget," he added.
