Stock prices remained steady on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Tuesday with a slight enhancement in the turnover on the back of huge transaction of Titas Gas.
The trading was however dominated by losers as only 88 issues gained, 126 declined and 13 remained unchanged out of 227 traded issues.
The market barometers - the benchmark DSE General Index (DGEN) and All Shares Price Index (DSI) -- gained slightly by 5.19 points and 3.60 points to end at 2854.87 and 2409.86 respectively.
However, the DSE-20 shed 2.62 points to finish at 2409.51 on price correction of the blue chip issues.
The day's total turnover further increased to Tk 3.64 billion against Tk 3.14 billion. The total market capitalisation also rose to Tk 995.24 billion against Tk 994.07 billion.
Titas Gas, Beximco Pharma and Beximco Ltd were the top three turnover leaders with Tk 484.45 million, Tk 311.52 million and Tk 253 million traded respectively.
