Stocks open positive with slow trend

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hour of trading on Thursday amid volatility, the last session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 2.24 points or 0.04 per cent to 4,589.62, after the first 30 minutes of the trade when the report was filed at 11am. Two other indices also saw positive trend at opening. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips advanced 0.76 points or 0.04 per cent to 1,744.71. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) gained 1.28 points or 0.11 per cent to stand at 1,106.06.  
DSE turnover stood at Tk 518 million when the report was filed.
Of the issues traded till then, 109 advanced, 65 declined and 59 issues remained unchanged. Aftab Automobiles was the most traded stocks till then with shares Tk 37 million changing hands followed by United Power, Al-Haj Textile, Apex Tannery and Delta Life Insurance.
The port city bourse – the CSE also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index -- CSCX – gaining 8.47 points to stand at 8,527.24, also at 11am.
Of the issues traded till then, 47 gained, 23 declined and 15 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 37 million.
