Stocks see modest correction

Stocks witnessed a modest correction on Sunday, extending the losing streak for the third straight session, amid poor earnings and dividend declarations.
Market operators said lower than expected dividend and quarterly earnings declarations by some of the companies made investors frustrated.
A section of investors also followed cautious stance and closely eyeing the political front as national election nears, said a leading broker.
The port city bourse, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), also ended lower with its CSE All Share Price Index-CASPI-losing 72 points to settle at 16,089 and the Selective Categories Index - CSCX -shedding 48 points to finish at 9,747.
