The prices of most of the shares at the country's both bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – rose in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week. The DSE benchmark index, DSEX, gained 11.66 points or 0.26 per cent to reach 4498.73 points at 11:00am. Of the issues traded till then, 112 gained, 41 declined and 29 remained unchanged. The port city bourse – CSE – also rose in the morning trade. The CSE’s key index, CSCX, gained 18.66 points to stand at 8559.50, also at 11:00am. Of the issues traded till then, 43 gained, 38 declined and 17 remained unchanged. During the holy month of Ramadan that begins today, the trading at DSE and CSE will start at 10:30am and continue till 1:30pm.
