Stolen fabrics of RMG recovered

CHITTAGONG, May 14: Police have recovered stolen garment fabric and detained a person from a wholesale shop in the city's Terry Bazar area today.
OC Zahid Hossain of Port thana said, acting on a tip off they raided the fabrics shop today and recovered imported fabrics stolen on last Monday from the port shed under weak security system. The detained was person identified as Amir Hossain, a broker.
The fabrics worth Tk 8.00 million were imported from China by Owners Group, owned by the former BGMEA president Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin. Masudur Rahman, manager of the company, had filed a case with the port thana.
Following the case, Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) formed a two-member investigation team headed by assistant traffic manager of the CPA Kudrat-e-Khuda.
