Stop extra-judicial killing
Saturday, 25 May 2013
We regularly read about criminals killed by the law enforcers during gunfight. Such incidents have created widespread concern among conscious people and human rights organisations at home and abroad. It must be stopped. None has the right to kill anyone without justice.
Various human rights organisations claimed that more than 1,000 people were killed so far by the law enforcers in the last decade depicting the picture of our country's law and order and judiciary system. Conscious people should protest such killings. Incident of random extra-judicial killing can initiate a reign of terror which may hamper our democracy.
Extra-judicial killing is not helping the cause of establishing peace. I hope the government will look into the matter seriously and stop abuse of power by the law enforcers and let law take its own course.
