Stop gaming death

Saturday, 17 May 2014

The horrific 7-murder case in Narayanganj has caused great concern among the people. We, the general people, are anxious about our safety. It is a great misery that our law enforcers are involved in such heinous acts. It is a terrible failure on the part of the government not to be able to control incidences of 'enforced disappearance', abduction and murder.
According to ASK (Ain o Salish Kendro), at least 41 people were abducted this year. In last year, the abductees were 53. The victims include politicians, businessmen, students and teachers. Our political parties are busy with their scandalous blame game. No one has the intent to get into the root of the problem. Both the big parties are busy trying to extract political mileage from such vicious acts.
Blaming others for criminal acts is common to the political parties in Bangladesh. In the process, it is none but the criminals who are the beneficiaries. At times, such blame game is done deliberately to provide escape routes for the criminals. Can we ask our politicians to part with this criminality?
