Stop intrusion of foreign fishing trawlers

Fisheries and Livestock Minister Sayedul Hoque has asked the navy and coast guards to keep special surveillance along Bangladesh-Myanmar maritime border to stop intrusion of foreign fishing trawlers into the Bay of Bengal. There should be special patrolling from estuary of Naaf River to the St Martin island, he said. The minister was talking to reporters on Tuesday after an inter-ministerial meeting that discussed intrusion of foreign fishing trawlers into Bangladesh territorial waters. The meeting was organised by fisheries and livestock ministry at his office, according to a news agency.
