SUBJECTS that learners are weak in need special care. Reading texts of the same subject of previous classes might be very helpful and students can be comfortable in any seemingly 'difficult' subject if they try.
Since we have to take ideas from the new books in our brain, there is a chance that we might receive insufficient ideas just by reading the chapters only once. In order to receive proper knowledge from the books, there is no alternative but to read the books repeatedly. In doing so, it might be still difficult to understand the lesson. May be the learner's basic on the subject is not that strong. If basic is not very strong, learners might have to read the texts of the same subject again.
In order to make the task of re-reading of the subject easier, one needs to have all the books of the previous classes near one's hand. They should be easily accessible and one needs to have the patience to consult them whenever one will need. By reading and repeated reading of the texts of the previous classes, one can internalise the ideas and can understand the lessons of the current subject better.
It is very common to see that there are many students who have fear about certain subjects, be it mathematics, English literature or anything as such. One of the main reasons for their such fear is that they did not study the same subject in the previous class(es) seriously. In order to remove such panic about certain subjects, one needs to study the basic of the subjects and thus need to have good mastery of the subjects.
Those who are wise know that there is no subject which is difficult. It is us who make the subjects difficult. Just like one can build up one's body by regular exercise, similarly one can be good in a subject by reading the current text repeatedly and if necessary the texts of the previous classes. There is no shame in reading the texts of the lower classes. Shame lies in not understanding the subject.
Reading the books of the previous years is also interesting. Since you already know the chapters, you just have to revise or relearn them. The task of revision or relearning will make you more attracted to studies.
By reading the texts of the current and previous years and practising them regularly, students can be competent in all the subjects. Instead of wasting time in frustration, they can spend time in building and rebuilding a good base of the subjects and thus can be strong in his or her subjects of the current class.
