Health and Family Planning Minister Mohammad Nasim said the law against food adulteration will be enforced strictly.
“Those involved in food tainting will get stringent punishment,” he said during a visit to National Food Security Laboratory in the city’s Mohakhali Tuesday.
Nasim directed the mobile courts and sanitary inspectors to work more sincerely.
He said people’s representatives at Upazila levels will be involved in anti-adulteration campaign.
The public representatives will be given responsibility to monitor the work of sanitary inspectors in village markets, he said.
