Strike at Bhomra port called off

SATKHIRA, July 2: An indefinite strike, that hampered export and import activities between India and Bangladesh through the Bhomra land port from Tuesday night, was called off on Friday. C & F Association, Employees Union and Transport Association withdrew the strike at 12:30pm today as BDR accepted their demand for return of imported goods to its importer and release of a labour leader. — UNB
