Strike at DU Tuesday against evening courses

Progotishil Chhatra Jote, a conglomerate of left-leaning student organisations, called a strike at Social Sciences and Arts faculties of Dhaka University on Tuesday to realise its four-point demand, especially bringing an end to evening courses in all public universities and revoking additional fees.“We’ll enforce the strike to realise our four-point demand. If the university administration doesn’t pay heed to our demands, we’ll announce tougher programme,” said Maruf Billah, president of Chhatra Union Dhaka University unit, at a press conference at Madhur Canteen on Sunday afternoon, according to a news agency.
