Strike at Sonamasjid port withdrawn

Employees and workers of Panama Sonamasjid Port Link Ltd which operates Sonamasjid Land Port withdrew their indefinite strike on Tuesday noon. The decision came after a meeting of the striking employees with the authorities in the presence of upazila nirbahi officer of Shibganj Syed Irtiza Ahsan. Earlier in the morning, the employees of the port-operating company went on an indefinite strike to press home their 12-poind demand, including a hike in salaries and promotion, according to a news agency.
