Strike halts export, import through Benapole landport

Trading through Benapole landport in Jessore had been remaining halted since Tuesday morning due to a strike called by Indian Clearing & Forwarding (C&F) agents. The C&F agents stopped trading through Petrapole port as India's customs department slapped restriction on the access of goods to Bangladesh. However, loading and unloading of goods and entry and exit of people through the port continued as usual.
