Strike halts trading at city's Moulvibazar

Sunday, 16 November 2008

Trading at Moulvibazar, country's largest wholesale market, halted Saturday as the businessmen enforced a daylong strike in the old part of the capital city in protest against an attack on some business people by miscreants, reports UNB.
President of Moulvibazar Traders' Association Abdur Razzak told the news agency that the businessmen of Moulvibazar, Begum Bazar and part of Chawkbazar went on strike as miscreants injured seven of their colleagues at Keraniganj Thursday.
