Sunday, 16 September 2007

A group of hunger-striking Bangladeshi job-seekers squatting in front of the Bangladesh High Commission (HC) in Kuala Lumpur (KL) were driven away Friday midnight by unidentified hoodlums, said reports reaching in Dhaka Saturday, reports UNB.
According to a report, a total of 121 cheated job-seekers had been on hunger strike having been deprived of suitable jobs during this past week.
The workers staged the fasting on demand for sending them back home subject to refund of money given to the recruiting agents, including outstanding salaries for six months.
The report says a good number of workers were injured during the attack.
