Strong demand for good

Tea sale took place after a fortnightly break due to Eid holidays, which witnessed a strong demand particularly for good liquoring varieties. Blenders were very active along with some interest from the loose tea section.
Good liquoring dusts had again a dearer market following strong competition.
CTC LEAF: 30,495 packages and (126 packages of old season) on offer met with a strong demand at slightly dearer rates.
BROKENS: Well-made good liquoring Brokens, particularly the smaller varieties, met with more demand and moved up by Tk 1.00 to Tk 2.00 and sometimes more and these could be quoted between Tk 202.00 and Tk 206.00.
FANNINGS: Good liquoring Fannings had a dearer feature and moved up by Tk 1.00 to Tk 2.00 and realised prices between Tk 200.00 and Tk 205.00. Other varieties were generally firm except the plainest, which were slightly easier.
CTCDUST: 3,804 packages on offer met with a better demand at firm to dearer rates. Good liquoring varieties were dearer by Tk 5.00 and more following competition. All others sold at around last levels with the plainer types easing slightly. Blenders lent good support with fair interest from the loose tea buyers.
