Strong demand for good liquoring teas

A strong demand prevailed for well-made good liquoring teas, which were well supported by all sections of the market. Pakistan buyers re-entered the market for selective lines. Dusts were strongly competed for and were dearer.
Ctc leaf: 23,412 packages and 13 packages of old season on offer met with a strong demand at slightly dearer rates.
Brokens: Well-made good liquoring brokens were strongly competed for were generally firm to slightly dearer and these could be quoted between Tk 139 and Tk 142. The remainder generally saw a steady market. Plain teas were also fairly firm.
Fannings: Well-made good liquoring fannings met with a stronger feature and were generally dearer by up to Tk 2.0 and these could be quoted between Tk 140 and Tk 143. The remainder also met with a good market but often a little easier.

All others were also sold well and were firm to slightly dearer. Plain liquoring varieties eased slightly. Blenders lent strong support along with loose tea buyers. There was selective export enquiry for the best ones.
