Strong demands, higher prices feature the market

There was a strong market following improved demand from all sections of the market. As a result, prices were higher. Blenders and Packeteers were more active with good support from the Loose tea buyers. There was fair interest from Pakistan. Better liquoring Dusts were a dearer market.
CTC LEAF: 23,386 packages and 55 packages of old season on offer met with a strong demand at mostly dearer rates.
BROKENS: Good liquoring Brokens met with a strong demand and were well competed for and these appreciated by Tk 2.00 and sometimes more. Mediums were also a dearer market. Smaller varieties sold between Tk 120 and Tk 124.
FANNINGS: All Fannings especially well made varieties enjoyed a strong market and moved up by Tk 2.00 to Tk 3.00 and these could be quoted between Tk 124 and Tk 128. The other were dearer by Tk 1.00 to Tk 2.00.
CTC DUST: 4,293 packages, on offer met with a good demand. Well made good liquoring types were dearer by Tk 1.00 to Tk 2.00 and sometimes more following competition. All others were mostly firm with the plainer liquoring types and most CDs easing further in line with quality. Blenders lent good support with some interest from the loose tea buyers.
