A solid base in mathematics is a must for succeeding in career. Be it for Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), be it for any BBA or MBA admission test, be it for any bank recruitment test, you need to have a strong base of mathematics. Maths part is important in these examinations and it carries good portion of the total marks. Anyone having escaped practice of mathematics must face difficulty in crossing the hurdles of these career examinations successfully.
Studying mathematics properly during student life will give students edge over others in succeeding in these career tests. When in school and college, students have ample time in hand and they can learn mathematics slowly and steadily.
When they are learning mathematics step by step, their mastery of the subject will be strong enough to make them fit for the competitive exams.
Mathematics deserves one's patience to such an extent that one might need to spend hours on solving the problems. If needed, students need to do a sum 10 times, 20 times, 30 times or 50 times.
They need to spend for solving one 'extra' of geometry for two hours, three hours or more.
They need to think deeply different steps of solving a sum so that they can solve the same in the exam in the shortest possible time.
It would be really useful if there could be mathematics club across the country where students could discuss their mathematics problem. Setting up such clubs would inspire them to be strong in the subject.
Those who could not do mathematics during their student life can still make up their knowledge of the subject.
They can collect and solve the books from the very elementary level. It has been observed that whoever has done so with patience, has gained in the long run. Forming groups can be very helpful even at a later stage of life. The group members will help each other in their problems.
Knowledge of mathematics is not only required in career, it is also necessary in our daily life. Anyone having escaped mathematics can cover the knowledge of this subject at any stage of life.
Can you think of the amount of pleasure you will have when you have mastery on the subject which was always a matter of panic throughout your student life?
Those with weak maths base may remain less confident in their whole life.
What is the point of having long time fear about any subject specially if it is as interesting as maths?
