Student drowns in Dhanmondi Lake

A Mohammadpur College student has drowned in the Dhanmondi Lake. The dead has been identified as Mohammad Rajib, 18. He had gone to bathe in the lake without knowing how to swim. He was lived in Raer Bazaar of Hajaribagh and was a student of Abul Hossain College in Mohammadpur. “Rajib had drowned before his friends could come to his rescue.” said Alok Chowhan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhanmondi Police Station. Doctor pronounced him dead on being taken to the Bangladesh Medical College Hospital. “The body was handed over to his relative without any forensic examination,” said the OC, according to a news agency.
