Student hurt in rival attack dies in Sylhet

A college student succumbed to his injuries at a clinic in Sylhet city four days after he was chopped by his rivals in Jagannathpur upazila in Sunamganj district. The dead is Kaisar Nur, 22, a student of Jagannathpur Degree College and son of Asad Miah of Habibpur Ashighor village of Jagannathpur upazila. Police, quoting locals, said Kaisar went out of the house after receiving a phone call of Anhar Miah of Chhikka village on Monday. Later, Anhar and his associates stabbed Kaiser with sharp weapons indiscriminately at Chhikka village, leaving him critically injured. Kaisar was rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital and later shifted to a private clinic in Sylhet city where he succumbed to his injuries around 12:30 am on Monday. A case was filed, according to UNB.
