Students damage 7 vehicles over bus fare hike in city

A group of students of Government Bangla College went on rampage and damaged seven vehicles in front of the college at Mirpur in the city Saturday night following a dispute over increased fare.brPolice and witnesses said the brawl ensued at about 10 pm as Azad, a third year student of Zoology department of the college, refused to pay the increased fare, reports UNB.brAt one stage, a Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) team on patrol picked up Azad from the spot and beat him. Soon he was freed.brAs the news spread, some residential students took to the street and blocked the Mirpur road for an hour.brAngry students set fire to a bus and also partially damaged seven vehicles.
