Students demand 2nd chance to take DU entry test

The students who want to sit for the Dhaka University’s admission tests took to the streets on Friday morning. They staged a protest rally on the main thoroughfare in DU campus area around 10:00am. The agitating students also took out a procession from in front of the Raju Bhaskorjo. The protesters chanted slogans in favour of their several demands, including the chance to take the admission test twice. The DU authorities have decided to allow students to sit for the admission test only once. The decision was taken at a meeting of the admission committee on Tuesday. The attendees took the decision to prevent cheating in the admission test, according to private TV channels.
