Students enforce indefinite strike on RU

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, June 15: The general students of Rajshahi University (RU) have enforced an indefinite strike from tomorrow (Wednesday) on the campus demanding cancellation of evening courses introduced in nine departments under Social Science and Law faculties.
Earlier the agitated students under the banner of Progressive Student Alliance (PSA) took out a protest procession and staged a demonstration on the campus Tuesday.
The students also laid siege to the administrative building from 11am to 12 noon to press home their demand.
The students also locked the gate of Rabindra Bhaban building from the early morning. As a result, no classes and examinations were held under Social Science and Law faculties today.
Moreover, the agitated students blocked the university central transport terminal and allowed no buses to come out from the terminal until after 12 noon.
