Students on road show

Recently a good decision has come from the government. Henceforth school children will no more be used to greet the VIPs. In most cases the local administration puts pressure on the school authority to send their students off to the streets to greet political leaders. This takes a toll on their studies as well as causes them needless sufferings.
Regrettably, even after the issuance of the government decision, media reports indicate the practice is still on. Further clarification of the government order also concerns us. The honourable education minister told newsmen that the restriction will not be applicable for the programmes of the country's honourable President and the Prime Minister. The VVIPs visit different districts as part of specific programmes arranged by the local authorities. Students have no involvement with most of those programmes. So it is better not to drag them from the classroom. We leave it for the kind considerations of our child-friendly honourable President and Prime Minister.
